How I Chose My Company Name SaKredJoi Art

Choosing a name for your creative business isn’t just about what sounds pretty—it’s about finding words that hold the soul of your story. When I began my journey as a mixed-media paper artist, I knew my company name had to convey both meaning and mission. That’s how SaKredJoi Art was born.

A Dictionary Spark

The journey began in a simple place: the dictionary. While flipping through words, I paused on sacred. The meaning resonated deeply with me, but what captured my attention most was how the word looked in print. I realized that spelling could be flexible. By shifting it to “SaKred,” I honored the spirit of the word while also giving it a voice that felt distinctively mine. It was a reminder that art—and language—can be reclaimed, reshaped, and reimagined.

Rooted in Spirit and Story

The word "sacred" has always been part of my personal vocabulary. For me, creativity is not just about making art—it’s about creating space for healing, connection, and joy. Spelling it differently reflects both uniqueness and cultural voice.

“Joi” came naturally. Joy is the heartbeat of my work. It’s not about surface-level happiness but about deep, soulful joy—the kind that sustains you through hard seasons and celebrates the beauty of everyday life.

Together, “SaKred” and “Joi” embody the balance of reverence and play, spirit and creativity. Adding Art at the end keeps the focus clear: this is about art that carries meaning.

Why It Matters

Your business name is often the first impression people have of your company. For me, SaKredJoi Art is more than branding—it’s a compass. It reminds me every day to create from a place of sacred joy and to scatter that energy like confetti into the world.
