Somewhere between the first torn scrap of paper and the 555th handmade card, something sacred happened.
Every card I create begins with a piece of story — a layer of paint, a scribbled prayer, a bit of gold or magenta that whispers joy is still possible. Over time, those small acts of creation have become something much larger: a movement of paper, presence, and purpose.
So yes — I’ve sold more than 555 handmade greeting cards through SaKredJoi Art — but that number isn’t about profit; it’s about people. Every card that leaves my studio carries a tiny altar of hope, a reminder that art can connect us in ways words sometimes can’t.
After creating that many cards, I’ve learned one thing over and over again: don’t stop there.
Art is more than a product — it’s a practice. It’s an invitation to slow down, to play, to breathe, and to remember who we are. Whether you’re layering paint, gluing torn paper, or simply holding a handmade card in your hand, creativity becomes a sacred rhythm — a conversation between heart and hands.
And that rhythm is what inspired me to create more ways for people to connect with art — beyond buying a card.
This season, I’m expanding the way I share art through SaKredJoi Art — from joyful paper goods to gatherings and subscriptions that nurture creativity all year long.
- Mixed Media Art Classes at Prairie Arts Center - Join me in Stillwater for hands-on collage and paper art sessions that celebrate color, story, and play. No experience needed — just bring your curiosity and joy.
- Handmade Christmas Cards Collection - A new collection of soulful, color-saturated designs — each one created to bring warmth, laughter, and light to your holiday season.
- Paper Prayers Monthly Subscription - Receive two original 4x6 mixed-media art postcards every month — one to keep, one to send. It’s a ritual of joy, mailed straight from my studio to your heart.
Together, these offerings weave a simple truth: creativity is contagious. Once you experience it, you’ll want to share it.
The heart of my work has always been about more than paper — it’s about people, presence, and possibility.
If you’ve ever purchased a card, joined a class, or opened one of my Paper Prayers, you’ve been part of this journey from the very beginning.
555 cards later, I’m still in awe of what happens when art meets intention.
So here’s your invitation:
- Come sit at the table with me this season.
- Make something.
- Send something.
- Keep creating beauty, one small layer at a time.
